Is broadband as important as electricity & water?

Mad as it may sound that is what 73% of people polled by the government in the UK believe.  From our point of view we would find it virtually impossible to run our business without broadband and liken the effect of no internet connection to having a limb chopped off in the rare event that our connection goes down.  Is it because we have got used to it?  Or is it really an essential part of every day life now?  Interested to hear your comments, and if you want to read more about it then see here

45% of my bookings come direclty over the internet, and 85% come as a result of people seeing our website. No, I don’t think it’s something we’ve ‘got used to’ , it’s an essential and critical major part of our business communication
